Coming August 21, 2022 – New Service Times
Effective August 21, 2022 Compassion Church of the Nazarene will adjust service times. Worship services will be offered at 9:00am and 10:30am. New bible studies will also be offered at 9:00am and 10:30am. This move will allow you to attend a worship service AND a bible study.
As we continue to move out of the COVID-19 pandemic we began to strategize how to define our new normal. At Compassion church of the Nazarene we are committed to making disciples and we knew that we needed to make some adjustments to allow for more intentional study of scripture. After praying and discussing with the Compassion Church leadership team we decided to adjust our Sunday and Wednesday schedule to allow for better discipleship opportunities.
Here is a summary of the changes:
Sunday Morning Schedule
- 8:30am – Coffee & Connection
- 9:00am – Worship Service / And / Adult & Youth Bible Studies
- 10:30am – Worship Service / And / Adult & Youth Bible Studies
- CompassionKids services at 9:00am & 10:30am
- 5:00pm – 7:00pm – CompassionYouth
Wednesday Evening Schedule
- Celebrate Recovery @ 6:45pm
- “The Landing” (Celebrate Recovery for teens) @ 6:45pm
- Support groups (grief share, etc.)

New Look Wednesdays @ Compassion
Everyone needs a place to heal. We all have hurts, habits, and hang-ups that hold us back and keep us from becoming the kind of people God created us to be. It has been said that the Church is a hospital for broken people. At Compassion Church of the Nazarene, we believe we are in need of opening more hospital rooms and creating more places for people to heal.
Expanded Recovery Ministry
In the fall of 2022, our adult programming on Wednesday nights will shift to make room for expanding our care ministry opportunities. We will be offering “The Landing”, which is a Celebrate Recovery program designed for youth. We will also begin other care and support groups like grief share, divorce care,…etc.
Childcare will still be available, however, with this move our youth ministry will start meeting on Sunday nights.

How will the schedule change affect Compassion Kids?
Programming for Compassion Kids will mimic the new service times. Services for kids will take place at 9:00am and 10:30am
How will this affect live-streaming?
Starting August 21, 2022 only the 9:00am service will be streamed live. The service will be available to watch at any time after.
When do the new service times go live?
The new schedule will go into effect on Sunday, August, 21, 2022
How will this affect Compassion Youth?
Beginning August 21, Compassion youth will meet on Sunday evenings. Wednesday nights will be dedicated to “The Landing,” a celebrate recovery option for teens.
How will this affect Celebrate Recovery?
Celebrate Recovery will continue to meet at the regular time on Wednesday evenings (6:45pm). Additionally, new options will become available for teen recovery (“The Landing”) as well as various support groups (grief share, divorce care, cancer support, etc.)
