As the Compassionate Ministries Center Director of Compassion Church, I help coordinate all aspects of our food pantry ministry, Christmas box outreach, disaster response team, and community nonprofit partnerships to help meet tangible needs for people in Lynchburg and surrounding areas.
I moved to Lynchburg from Tennessee in 2000 to attend Liberty University and graduated in 2004 with a BS in Religion. I stumbled upon Compassion Church of the Nazarene (Then, Lynchburg First Church of the Nazarene) in 2003 and I’ve been here ever since, previously serving in roles as the office administrator and nursery director. Along the way, I met my husband Brandon, who’s a high school math teacher, and we’ve been married since 2005. We have three wonderful, busy children – Ryne, Lucy, and Landon. We’re big Chicago Cubs and Virginia Tech fans and love to travel and watch movies as a family. When I have free time, I’m almost always reading a book.
My heart is to see the Gospel made known through the ministries of the local church and I’m so grateful I can be a part of that at Compassion Church.
