Spreading the love of God one food box at a time
Each December, Compassion Church of the Nazarene serves a food box to 1,000 families. Each box contains enough food for a family to make an entire Christmas dinner. This has become our favorite time of year because it’s a way that we can spread joy to families in need.
Each year, we collect food to go in each food box along with monetary donations to cover the cost of any food we have to purchase. It’s your generosity that drives this effort.
Collect
Help us collect food at area grocery stores to fill our Christmas boxes! Volunteers will hand out shopping lists to customers, inviting them to purchase items that will be placed in our Christmas boxes.
Donate
Every year we will end up purchasing outstanding food items. Any donations will help reach the goal of feeding 1000 families.

Deliver
Help us deliver Christmas food boxes to those in need on Saturday, December 13th! Christmas boxes will be picked up at Compassion starting at 9:00am and should be delivered by 12:00pm. Each team is committing to delivering 10 boxes to their assigned route (routes are assigned randomly and are assigned within close proximity of each location). Each team is also committing to have at least two adults delivering together.
Pray
Join us in prayer for every family receiving a food box: that they would feel loved, filled with joy, and welcomed into our church community. Pray for their hearts to be open to Jesus and that they might join us at our candlelight service. Please also pray for the volunteers delivering these boxes, that God would give them safety, energy, and compassion as they serve.
Pack
We will be packing all 1,000 food boxes in the Compassion Worship Center, December 10th @ 7pm. No need to reserve your spot to help, just show up. It will be a lot of fun!

Sunday, December 21 – Candlelight Services
Join us for one of our Christmas Candlelight Services at 5:00pm or 7:00pm as we celebrate the birth of our Savior together! This is one of our favorite services of the year, so we hope to see you there.
